 Clare has 11 golf courses ranging from world - renowned seaside links to
parkland courses, providing a variety of challenges to any handicap. Most are
playable all year round.
The 18-hole championship course at Lahinch has the "Klondyke" and the "Dell"
holes, numbered among the most famous in golf.
Other 18-hole
courses in the region include, Ennis, Dromoland, Bodyke, Gort,
Woodstock, Shannon, Kilkee, Kilrush, Doonbeg, Birr, Nenagh, Roscrea and Thurles.
Spanish Point has a 9 hole course, as do Portumna and Templemore.

Rosshill Golf Course at Roscam, Ennis, Kilrush, Nenagh, Liscannor, Sixmile
Bridge, Lisdoonvarna and Lahinch.
There are many coastal walks in the area which take in spectacular scenery.
Increasingly popular walking routes can be followed on an organised basis. Walks, varying
from one day to one week, are marked out with distinctive pointers. Detailed charts and information
pamphlets are available.
The Burren is a limestone karst region, internationally renowned for its
geological features, archaeological remains and magnificent flora. The Burren
Way never fails to captivate its visitors. The jagged terrain of this uniquely
beautiful part of Ireland and the majestic Cliffs of Moher (views to the Aran
Islands) are two of the delights of this wonderful ramble amongst hills and turloughs.
